EVV / CareChamp- Employee Forgets to Clock Out - In Progress



Best Practice for Care ChampAide visits will only auto-complete if the next visit occurs within 48 hours of the previous in-progress visit. When this happens, the aide will see a pop-up at the bottom of the Care Champ screen confirming the previous visit was marked as complete.

This process happens automatically, and the message will disappear on its own.


🔁 If the Visit Shows as Completed in the App but Not in the Office:
  • Have the aide select the visit, then tap Resend.

  • This will push the visit back to the office and display it on the EVV Visits screen.

  • ⚠️ It may take up to an hour to sync during office hours.

  • If after hours, the visit will sync the next day.

  • Low cellular signal can delay syncing.




Manual Visit Completion (Care Champ App or Telephony)

Use this process when the aide forgets to clock out:

Important: The Finish button may not show up active until 2 days after the scheduled visit date. This allows time for the visit to sync for EVV compliance. Manually completing visits too soon can lower your compliance score. Each agency can control this number. 

Steps:

  1. Select the visit from Barnestorm Office > EVV Visits screen.

  2. The visit should show as In Progress. Click Finish to mark it complete.

  3. If needed, click Edit to correct the visit time and update any incomplete tasks.

    • If everything looks accurate, you're done!
