Barnestorm's Claims Builder Service

Barnestorm offers a Claims Builder monthly service that allows you to use EVV visits in Barnestorm as usual and then create billing claims for VA / MCO / LME patients. These claims can be uploaded to the Change Healthcare portal through an SFTP interface in Barnestorm. Please note that this service incurs a monthly fee, and we need to enable it for you.

Overview

1. Create Your Claim Bill Medicaid Claims (All Other Billing, Billing, BillingBasics, Claims, Medicaid) (barnestorm.biz)

   • Go to the "All Other Billing" screen to create your claim.
   • Note the file name of your claim.

2. Transmit to Change Healthcare

   • Navigate to Billing > HIPAA Transactions > Transmit to Change Healthcare.
   • Locate the file you need to send and click the ‘Send’ button on the right.
   • The status will change from ‘Not Sent’ to ‘Sent, not acknowledged.’

3. Verify Claims:

   • Use the payer portal to verify if the claims were accepted.

Please note that Change Healthcare payers do not post electronic remittances. You must retrieve/download remittances from the payer portal.
