Edit Care Coordination Note (New)


1. On the Select Patient screen type in the patient’s chart number or the first 3 letters of their last or first name.

2. Click the patient’s name to select him or her.

3. Click the Care Coordination button on the Main Menu.

4. The Care Coordination Communications screen opens with hyperlinked-options at the top right to search for notes.

5. There is also an Advanced Search text box for more search options. Choose the note to be edited.

6. To edit a CCN not finished yet, select the note from the list and click on the Edit button from the bottom of the screen. 

- Green arrow next to the sender/recipient means the CCN status is open and can be edited.

- Blue arrow to the right means the note has been closed and documentation should be completed.  Depending on your agency policy on the number of days the CCN can be reopened, you may have to ask a Barnestorm Office user to unlock the CCN for you before you can modify it in Point of Care.

- Red diamond will flag the CCN as an urgent message.

7. After you have clicked on the Edit button, the CCN will open for you to make your changes.

8. Click on the Save button when finished with edits. 

Edit / Delete Rules

Employee access rules will come from Codes > Security > Logins > Access Level.  

Access level 1-7 = Will allow employee to edit and delete their own Care Coordination Notes

Access level 8 = Will allow employee to edit other and edit/delete their own Care Coordination Notes

Access level 9 = Will allow employee to edit and delete ANY Care Coordination Note
