Edit Care Coordination Note (New)


o   Select a patient Select Patient screen in Barnestorm by typing in either the first 3 digits of the patient’s chart number or the first 3 letters of their last or first name.

o   Click the patient’s name to select him or her.

o   Click the Care Coordination button on the Main Menu.

o   Watch as the Care Coordination Communications screen opens.

o   By default, your CCNs will appear in a list when you pull up this screen.

o   To edit a CCN not finished yet, select the note from the main list and click on the Edit button from the bottom of the screen. 

- Green diamond next to the sender/recipient means the CCN status is open and can be edited.

- Blue arrow to the right means the note has been closed and documentation should be completed.  Depending on your agency policy on the number of days the CCN can be reopened, you may have to ask a Barnestorm Office user to unlock the CCN for you before you can modify it in Point of Care.

- Red diamond will flag the CCN as an urgent message.

o   After you have clicked on the Edit button, the CCN will open for you to make your changes.

o   Click on the Save button when finished with edits. 

Edit / Delete Rules

Employee access rules will come from Codes > Security > Logins > Access Level.  

Access level 1-7 = Will allow employee to edit and delete their own Care Coordination Notes

Access level 8 = Will allow employee to edit other and edit/delete their own Care Coordination Notes

Access level 9 = Will allow employee to edit and delete ANY Care Coordination Note
