You can create OASIS just to help with tracking, since it is a requirement that the OASIS be completed as part of a comprehensive assessment.
However, since Jan 2010, only Medicare and Medicaid OASIS get exported to the state (applies to all states).
- If the MO150 question is answered with an answer that is between 01 – 04 then the OASIS will get exported.
- If the answer is a combination of 01 – 04 and a higher answer (ex. 08) then the OASIS will get exported.
- If the answer is 05 and higher then the OASIS will not get exported and the status will stay in Locked, Not Exported.
- If for some reason you need to force a private pay OASIS to export, change the M0150 to Medicaid HMO, then after it gets sent, change it back.
