Security is an ongoing process when it comes to online software applications. Protecting sensitive client data is a critical factor with health systems, and one way to protect client data is an automatic inactivity logout.
When you leave Barnestorm open on your computer for an hour and are not using Barnestorm, the system will automatically and securely close Barnestorm. This change is being made for security reasons, to ensure the safety of your data. The Barnestorm login screen will be available when your system is logged out due to inactivity. This change applies only to users of Barnestorm Office application, and will not affect Point-of-Care or users of the field app.
You will receive a warning counting down before closing Barnestorm software. Click anywhere in Barnestorm to cancel the automatic log out and refresh the countdown.
Your login window will refresh and include your user name already filled in. Once you enter your password to log back in, it will pull up the patient/page you had pulled up when the software was logged out.
You can change the timeout time by clicking the blue "i" information icon at the top of your task bar. Change the Timeout number (minutes) and click on Ok.
