We've added two new reports to help audit the Condition of Participation under 42 CFR 484.60 where the Advanced Directives must be located on the POC.
Go to Barnestorm Office > Reports and select the Download New Reports.
Under the Audit category are two reports; Advanced Directive Not on 485 and Advanced Directives Audit. Both reports will pull all Medicare episodes since Jan 13, 2018.
The Advanced Directives Audit will list all Medicare episodes and show if the episode has the words "Advanced Directives" in the Box 21 of the 485. The column labeled AdvDir pulls from the Patient Referral > Patient Information > Emergency Plan screen. It will list partial text that was keyed into that screen or it will be listed as No Adv Dir, which means the Emergency Plan screen was not filled in.
The Advanced Directive Not on 485 report will only list the episodes that do not find the phrase "Advanced Directives" on the POC.
Both reports sort the information by last name then by from date of the episode. You can sort the data differently by clicking the header you wish to order it by, before running the report.
These reports will have very small font. We recommend exporting the report to Excel for a better view. To make the fonts slightly bigger you can deselect some of the columns that print. Click the Choose Columns button and uncheck the items you do not need printed; ie. Box 21 or ThruDate.
