In Barnestorm Office, you have the option to add up to 10 additional Verbal Order Categories (Types) and their TBox Codes. Please have the appropriate member of staff perform the following steps in Barnestorm Office:
a. Go to Codes > Security > Global Settings tab
b. Double click Orders
c. Go to Global Setting 0634 (Additional Verbal Order Categories and their tbox codes)
Option 1:
In the field to the right of Global Setting 0634, type in the description of the new order "type" you would like to use. For example “Level Of Care Change” would be typed in as: Level Of Care Change|
Go back to Add/Edit Orders screen, the option should appear in the dropdown.
NOTE: Make sure to include the pipe at the end of the description. The new "type" will not appear if not entered correctly. If you have multiple entries, each entry will be separated by the pipe. Here's the format: Order Type Description|Second Order Type Description|Third Order Type Description.....
Option 2:
If you have pretext (Tbox code) associated with the new order "type", you can enter the Tbox code along with the description. The text will appear on the screen, when you select that "type" option while on the Add/Edit Order screen. This is how you would enter the description in Global setting 0634: Level Of Care Change/0123|
Go back to Add/Edit Orders screen, select the new order "type." The pretext from the TBox code should appear.
NOTE: Make sure the forward-slash ( / ) is between the description and T box code; and the pipe is behind the Tbox code. The new "type" will not appear if not entered correctly.
