Copy Patient Schedule Through Certification Period

You can copy the schedule for just one patient forward through to the end of the cert period (or another date you specify).

  1.  To copy a patient’s weekly schedule forward through a certification period: From Barnestorm Office go to Employee Activity > Schedule;  From Barnestorm POC go to Schedule.
  2. Click the Schedule Entry tab.
  3. Enter the patient in the top right part of the screen (make sure "Patient" is selected).
  4. Enter the patient schedule for one full week. This should be the “normal” schedule, without deviations due to personnel changes.
  5. Save the week schedule and use the bottom of the screen to view it and make sure it’s correct.
  6. Click the right-arrow button at the top to make sure that the future weeks are empty.
  7.  Near the middle of the screen, click the Copy Schedule button. The Copy Schedules screen will open.
  8. At the top, check that the patient is selected. Copy the schedule for a Week.
  9. Check the Copy dates. The date that appears on "Into this Week is the end of the current certification period as indicated by your 485s in the system. To copy through to the end of the certification period, leave the date. The other option is to change the date as needed.
  10. OPTIONAL: Copy to Every OTHER Week. If this schedule applies only to every other week, you can check the box to copy it Every OTHER Week. If you want to copy to every week, simply leave the box unchecked.
  11. OPTIONAL: Replace Future Schedules. If the schedules in the system should be removed and replaced with the ones you care copying, check this box. If you do so, you will erase all future schedules for the date period you have specified. Please be sure this is what you want to do, as Barnestorm cannot restore schedules you delete accidentally.
  12. When you have all the options set as needed, click the Copy Schedules button.
  13. You will get a pop-up that says how many items will be copied and how many items exist on the week(s) you’re copying to. Please pay attention to this pop-up, as it will prevent you from accidentally creating duplications if you pay attention. If you create duplicates, you'll have to delete them all, so please pay attention to the information on the pop-up--if there are 0 visits on the week you're copying to, there will be no duplicates.
